Students Love Practical? No—They Need It.

Why Practical Learning Matters

Students enjoy learning through real stories and practical output in class. More than that, they need to see how classroom learning connects to real situations.
When that connection is missing, they feel something essential is left out.

This means that:

  • Students should link their learning to what they actually do outside the classroom.
  • Teachers should provide both theoretical and practical perspectives.
  • Or ideally, both.

And importantly, “practical aspects” can only be delivered by teachers who themselves live in real business contexts every day.

Two Types of Teaching Approaches

In global business classes, we often see two contrasting approaches:

  • Teaching-focused teachers say: “What you’re learning will be useful in the future.”
  • Practical-experienced teachers say: “What you’re learning here may be useful—but the most useful resource is yourself.”

The latter emphasize strengthening students’ ability to grow independently—because that is the true skill required in real-world practical situations.

How Students Make Learning Practical

Our students actively try to make classes more practical:

  • They ask many questions to understand real-world contexts.
  • They take what they learn in class and apply it outside the classroom.

One exciting action is a collaboration with a great project in the U.S., initiated by a brilliant student. We will reveal more about this soon!

Who Should Stay Tuned

This is for students who are interested in:
