What is MBDGs Model?

After six years of implementing this in new employee training,

  • new employees acquire a solid working mindset and manners, so they receive positive evaluations from their superiors every year after being assigned to their new positions.
  • The handover notes written by the training instructor regarding the participants are now indispensable information for the superiors of the new positions.
  • The two-day training is characterized by not only teaching basic working skills and business manners, but also by deepening ties with peers, making the team training previously conducted unnecessary.
  • This training almost completes the training for new employees.

▶Application in training on building global organizations

The results of receiving business training for foreign employees and acceptance training for Japanese employees at an apparel-related human resources dispatch training company

  • [Japanese employee] First of all, the invisible wall between foreign employees and Japanese employees was removed in my mind. After that, I learned about different cultures and the circumstances of foreigners working in Japan, and I thought that I could communicate with more respect.
  • [Japanese employee] I felt that the important thing is not for foreigners to adapt to Japan, but for Japanese people to change their mindset and behavior.
  • [Foreign employee] All my doubts and worries about working in Japan were resolved, and I now understand my role well, so I want to work hard.
  • [Foreign employee] I learned a lot about Japanese history and genes, and I now understand the reasons for Japanese behavior, and I like it.

The story to sustainable development

User feedback

▶Professor Hajime Imamura, Department of Global Innovation, Faculty of International Studies, Toyo University

We invited Makiko Hirano, the developer of MBDGs, to the Social and Solidarity Economy, NGO and Social Enterprise class to give a workshop lecture.
It was an important opportunity for students to establish their independence and move forward with self-confidence. It was a very happy time to see the bright and lively faces of the students, which we do not usually see in classes.
I have been educating students to send out into the world with an entrepreneurial spirit that does not fear risk and powerful communication skills in English, but even if they understand it intellectually, it has been difficult to ignite the hearts of each individual student. This workshop gave me a great hint.

The future that can be gained by MBDGs model

In the future, incorporating MBDGs model will create a virtuous cycle of sustainable development and high value provision for individuals and organizations.
